Carla O'Dell is a noted author and President of APQC (American Productivity & Quality Center).  Her fields of expertise include knowledge management and sharing, best practice transfer, business process management, and benchmarking.  She writes frequently for leading journals and magazines and is co-author of If Only We Knew What We Know: The Transfer of Internal Knowledge as well as Best Practice and American Business: A Two Minute Warning.  Her recent books include The Executive’s Role in Knowledge Management. Carla began her professional career with the Ford Foundation and the American Center for Quality of Work Life. In 1983 she served as chairperson of the Rewards Conference of the White House Conference on Productivity.  Her education background includes a bachelor's from Stanford University, a master's from the University of Oregon, and a doctorate in organizational psychology from the University of Houston.
