Cathie Butler Looney is a Certified Reality Therapist, educator and consultant from Dallas, Texas. Cathie is a much-sought-after speaker whose rare insight and wit have helped educate and motivate people of all ages in schools, churches, organizations and businesses throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. She works with a wide range of groups including Young Presidents Organization, Slingshot Creative, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, facilitating leadership workshops, seminars and retreats.

Cathie has been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers and television. She has been described in the Dallas Morning News by columnist Steve Blow as delivering her presentations with a “rapid-fire mixture of wit and wisdom”.   Her most sought after topic is “Generational Differences in the Work Place”, in which Cathie provides helpful insights into the nature of generational differences and offers tips on recognizing and managing those differences to maximize results.

She holds degrees in Elementary Education and Secondary Education and a Master’s degree in Counseling. Cathie did extensive study under Dr. William Glasser at the Institute of Reality Therapy in California after completing her Master’s degree.

Cathie and her husband, Jim, have been married for 35 years. They are the proud parents of a son, Butler, a graphic designer in Dallas and a daughter, Elaine, who is the Case Director for Children’s Health Fund, a non profit on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
