Bobby Valentine was explosive during his 10-year career as a Major League baseball player. His skill allowed him to play at every position except pitcher before a severe injury ended his playing career in ‘79. In 1983, Bobby returned to the game when he was named third-base coach for the NY Mets, and in ‘85, the Texas Rangers signed Valentine to manage the club until ‘92. Valentine then coached in the minors before returning to the Mets. Bobby is currently coaching in Japan.
